Stellarium – An interactive sky map

The software Stellarium is a free interactive sky map.

You can see what the sky looks like and when stars rise and set anywhere in the world and at any time.

There is a possibility to display drawings of zodiac signs and constellations, terrestrial and celestial coordinates, and more.

The software has data on many objects such as stars, planets, asteroids, comets, nebulous galaxies, and more. The map is very useful for planning observations.

When you click on a specific object, you get its complete data such as celestial coordinates (RA, Dec)

and terrestrial coordinates (height in the sky and azimuth), magnitude, color index, spectral class, distance, and more.

It is also possible to track its position in the sky during the day.

The software can be downloaded for free and is available in versions for different operating systems and even for cell phones.
