The International Variable Star Index of The American Association of Variable Star Observers (AAVSO) is a vast astronomical database of variable stars.
Here, you can find the location, photometric data, period time, ephemeris, type, and more for all kinds of variable stars,
including intrinsic variables, binary stars, exoplanets and more.
You can search for stars by name, ID, coordinates, constellations, type, criteria, and more.
This database is invaluable for observation planning and analysis of variable stars.
There is also the possibility to submit data.

Another highly useful tool on the website is VStar.
VStar is a multi-platform, easy-to-use variable star data visualization and analysis tool that was originally developed as part of the AAVSO’s Citizen Sky project.
Data for a star can be read from the AAVSO database or from a text file of your own creation.
It will plot the data on a light curve. Period Analysis can be performed using Date Compensated Discrete Fourier Transform (DC DFT) and other tools.
